About
Ojas Programmes
Meaning of yoga
Yoga comes from the Sanskrit work “Yuj” which means union. Union of the body, mind, spirit and the ultimate cosmic energy that flows through every being. Ojas is a Sanskrit term that means the “essence of vitality.” It is the vital energy that rules our immunity, strength, and happiness—three things we want to have in abundance. If our Ojas is weak, our health, our spirits, and our energy sag.
Techniques at Ojas
At Ojas wellness retreats, through Shatkriyas, Asanas and Sadhana, we explore and expand our physical, mental and spiritual capabilities to enhance awareness within and around us. Being in nature, practicing solitude & with yogic practices, we learn to enhance self - awareness and understand the beauty of the present moment. The learnings that you take from these practices, would help you improve mental and physical balance in your daily lives.
Who can attend
The Retreat is open to all, whether it’s your first time on the yoga mat or you’re an advanced practitioner. Bijoya Mukherji, an internationally certified Yoga trainer, a Corporate coach and a Speaker, would be leading the programme. The Retreat sessions are beautifully designed with variations, so each level of practitioner is able to make the pose their own and derive adequate benefits from the same. If you have difficulty sitting on the floor and need a chair, please mention it in your registration form. We would attend to you with more care.
Satvic food
The food provided at the retreats would be Satvic, vegetation(eggs would be made to order), nutritious and freshly prepared. Such food is light and increases energy, brings joy, calmness and mental clarity. It also helps boost our immune system.
A day at the retreat
During the retreat, your day would start with Cleansing practices, Yoga Asanas, guided Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and Pranayamas followed by breakfast and self study, lunch and rest period. Post lunch on a day, We would be exploring a forest/nature trail close to the site. On the other day, we would be visiting a local site of spiritual importance or travel to the absorb the simple joys of a local village community. Before dinner, we’d have a basic warm up followed by a guided meditation session. Pls check your package for exact details.
An open heart practice
This retreat is focused at improving self – awareness, physical stamina and realising the restraints of our own minds that stop us from leading a fuller life. We’d be living in the lap of nature, connecting deeply with the infinite energy and resources nature has to offer. Ojas is a judgement free space, please be willing to get out of your comfort zones and have an open heart. This will allow you to experience the bliss that the retreat has to offer, fully.
Make Yoga Your Lifestyle
here’s why?
Yoga means union. It is essentially a way of life, that aims towards developing a healthy body and mind. It is beyond what people usually perceive, which is about bending and twisting into various shapes.
Yoga is a technique to bring you into a state where you see and experience reality simply the way it is. If you enable your energies to become exuberant and ecstatic, your sensory body expands. This constant awareness lets you experience the whole universe as a part of yourself, making everything one, this is the union that yoga creates.
A yogic life is not just meant for a handful few, it is a must in today’s demanding lifestyles. We are all aware of the positive benefits of Yoga on alleviating severe symptoms of physical and mental illnesses. At Ojas wellness, we focus on attending the body, the mind as well as the soul. Connecting with nature, having simple food, practicing movement at the sessions encourage and empower the practitioners to explore an expansive side of themselves.
As the practitioners go back fully rejuvenated mindfulness that yoga imbibes in us, we start to shed unnecessary layers that stop us from living an opportune and whole life. We begin to observe every situation or challenge in our lives, work or personal, with more understanding, rationale and open ness.
